Today was a big day for one of my work buddies- he and his girlfriend moved into a condo together...and i helped with the move. He is a salesman at The Great Escape, and we have become good friends. He lives 16 miles away, so i of course drove there. The compensation overrode the gas expense. I helped him move everything out of his old apartment into the new condo, and moved everything out of his girlfriends apartment into the condo. After that, i had to go after 4 hours of solid work. He still had to go to his storage unit where he had even more stuff...
After helping him move, i went to subway, picked up subs for myself and my girlfriend, and we hung out at her place for the night. The driving besides moving my friend was minimal, and necessary. I totaled my driving to be around 40 miles today, so that makes a total of 89 miles for the summer. A lot of driving, but most of it essential. My gas tank is still 3/4 full and i don't have anymore long drives planned in the near future. Today was a good day. Tomorrow, i work. So we will see how that guess...I'm guessing it will be a bad day.
