Well, today i worked 10-8, an all day 10 hour shift. I worked with a friend today that lives right next door (the one that always gives me rides). Today we decided to ride our bikes together, so we left a little earlier and took a leisurely bike ride there-unlike my usual quick rides. We went the 3.3 miles total in 23:07, almost twice as long as usual- resulting in an average speed of 8.6 mph. It was nice, though, to ride with a friend for once! Work was decent today, although it kind of dragged by... I finally get tomorrow off!
Unfortunately, tomorrow, I have a dentist appointment that is 14 miles away, and takes busy roads to get there. It is just out of my range and seems ridiculous to me, at least this early in the summer when i am still slow on the bike. After that, i am not sure what i have to do, but hopefully there wont be much more driving after this for the summer.
Total summer mileage: 19.2 miles
Money saved on gas (20 mpg at $4.14 per gallon): $3.97
